So just confirming that if I buy RE5 from this link here on Steam: Steam should give me a Product CD Key when I do. The whole process is super confusing and reminded me of why I’m not a PC gamer. I’ve then read that if (like me) you upgraded to windows 11, you’re fucked as the GFWL client is for windows 8-10. Comments from online suggest I download the latest GFWL client. Steam allows you to download the ‘original’ version (which appears to be the GFWL) version but it won’t run on my laptop. But I’m still not able to run the GFWL version which presumably is how I would pop Microsoft achievements (rather than steam achievements). The version I downloaded from Steam needed a 3rd party patch to even get it to run. Appreciate you taking the time to respond.Did it end up working?Unfortunately no. I then use the Product CD Key as part of my GFWL login and can then pop achievements in RE5 as normal? (Sorry if this is already clear in the thread but I'm not much of a PC gamer and just want to make sure I don't run into problems before dropping NZ$24)I don't own it on steam, so I'm only going off what I read online, and It should be a yesThanks New Paralyzer.
